Roller Conveyor

Flexitech Engineering is a leading manufacturer of conveyor systems and automation equipment in India, offering high-quality solutions designed to enhance efficiency in material handling systems. Our roller conveyors are engineered to accommodate different production line requirements, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial applications.

A roller conveyor moves loads across a series of cylindrical rollers mounted transversely between two side frames, powered either by gravity on an incline or by a lineshaft, belt, O-ring or 24V DC motorized drive. Manufactured using premium-quality zinc-plated or stainless-steel tubes in multiple sizes — including a standard diameter of 50mm — these rollers deliver smooth, low-noise operation with minimal maintenance, for both light-duty and heavy-duty applications across logistics, warehousing, packaging and distribution.

Working principle

How a roller conveyor works

Cylindrical rollers are mounted across two parallel side frames, spaced to suit the size of the load being carried. On a gravity roller conveyor, an incline lets loads move under their own weight; on a powered roller conveyor, a lineshaft, belt, O-ring or 24V DC motor drives the rollers directly, transferring rotation from one roller to the next for continuous, controlled movement.

STEP 01
Rollers set in the frame
Rollers are mounted across the side frames at a fixed pitch, sized to the load and throughput required.
STEP 02
Load rests on the rollers
Cartons, pallets, trays or components sit across multiple rollers for stable, even support.
STEP 03
Gravity or motor drives movement
An incline moves the load by gravity, or a lineshaft/belt/O-ring/24V DC motor rotates the rollers to push it forward.
STEP 04
Consistent flow to destination
Reduced friction and precise roller spacing keep output steady all the way to the next process or dispatch point.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

A roller conveyor is a material handling system that uses a series of cylindrical rollers mounted in a frame to move cartons, pallets or components from one point to another, either by gravity or with a powered drive.

Gravity roller conveyors need no power — loads move on their own down an incline. Powered roller conveyors use a lineshaft, belt, O-ring or 24V DC motor to drive the rollers on level or inclined sections, giving controlled speed and direction.

Capacity depends on roller diameter, wall thickness, frame width and spacing — we design each conveyor to suit loads ranging from light cartons to heavy pallets and industrial components.

Yes — frame width, roller diameter and spacing, drive type, and straight, curved or inclined sections can all be tailored to your space and throughput needs.
